It’s only been a few weeks sinceFire Countrywrapped up its third season in a blazing finale, which was shortly followed by the news that the show waslosing two series regularsheading into its fourth season. Now, leading starMax Thieriotjust delivered an update on the show’s future that could be concerning for those anxious about another season. Just a few days ago, it was announced thatSheriff CountrySeason 1,Fire CountrySeason 4, andDonnie Wahlberg’s newBlue Bloodsspin-off,Boston Blue,will air back-to-back-to-backthis fall on CBS at 8, 9, and 10 p.m. EST. Thieriot recently sat down for an interview with TV Insider, and he spoke about how the show needs to“continue pushing the envelope”in future seasons:
“There will be some pieces that need to be picked up.We’re motivated to continue pushing the show, pushing the envelope, and trying to sort of allow this world to evolve and come up withnew ways to surprise the audienceand to bring the audience compelling characters and storytelling.”

He also provided a status update onthe next season ofFire Country, which is seemingly in very early stages of development, with the writer’s room having just begun: “As far as what is going to happen specifically at this point, I don’t know.We’re just opening the writers’ room, so we haven’t gotten that far. I know that everybody’s really focused on finding out.”
After starring in all 52 episodes ofFire Countryto date,Stephanie Arcilais one of the names confirmednot to reprise her role as Gabriela Perez in Season 4. It was also reported that Vince Leone actorBilly Burkewill not be back in Season 4, but this has yet to be officially confirmed.TheFire Countryteam spoke about these departuresin a recent interview, highlighting the loss the series will have to overcome going forward, but wanting to ensure the show continues to tell authentic stories. In addition to Thieriot as Bode,Kevin Alejandro,Jordan Calloway,Jules Latimer, andDiane Farrare all expected to return inFire CountrySeason 4.

All the aforementioned names have been series regulars inFire Countrythus far, appearing in all 52 episodes, but the show has seen other stars come and go since debuting in 2022.W.
