Where to begin withNow Apocalypse? Two things I can tell you with certainty - I’ve never seen anything like it and the interview I did with the cast and creators at Sundance 2019 was the perfect way to wrap up the Collider interview suite. The show is bold, wild, colorful and features an ensemble that will likely melt hearts across the board.
Our anchor here isAvan Jogia’s character Ulysses. While making the most of all the sexual adventure opportunities LA has to offer, Ulysses winds up having what he thinks is an “otherworldly hookup,” an encounter that leaves him with recurring nightmares, possibly linked to some sort of conspiracy. Ulysses paves the way toBeau Mirchoff’s character Ford, Ulysses' best friend, and he’s datingRoxane Mesquida’s character, Severine, an astrobiological theorist. Ulysses also spends a good deal of time with another close friend,Kelli Berglund’s Caryl, an aspiring actress who’s currently making some extra income as a cam-girl. And you know what? That’s only scratching the surface ofNow Apocalypse.

Creator and directorGregg Arakigot the opportunity to debut the show at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival as part of the “special events” program, prior to its March 10th debut on Starz. While in town for the big premiere, he swung by the Collider Studio with co-writerKarley Sciortinoand a whole bunch of the cast including Jogia, Mirchoff, Mesquida, Berglund,Tyler PoseyandRJ Mitte. In the spirit of the show, the conversation was irreverent, crazy and off the rails to say the least and you’re able to delight in all the chaos using the video player at the top of this article.
I’d also like to take a moment to give special thanks to our Collider Studio partner, the all new2020 Kia Telluride, which was transporting filmmakers to our studio in celebration of the debut of the all new model, Kia’s first eight-passenger SUV that is several inches longer and wider than the brand’s award-winning Sorento.

Libations were also flowing at the Collider Studio with parties hosted byLIFEWTR, Tequila Comisario, Sensi Tuscany Wines, Blue Moon Belgian WhiteandDragonfly Coffee Roasters. Food during the parties was provided byGreene St. Kitchen of Palms Casino Resortlead by Chef Du CuisineLanny Chin. Brand partners active during the day includedmou, a luxury footwear and accessories line, andThe Wild Immersionendorsed by Jane Goodall who was on-site with the world’s first “virtual reserve.”
Avan Jogia, Kelli Berglund, Beau Mirchoff, Roxane Mesquida, Tyler Posey, RJ Mitte, Gregg Araki and Karley Sciortino:

Here’s the official Sundance description ofNow Apocalypse:
Ulysses and his friends are navigating the strange and often bewildering city of Los Angeles, oscillating between earnest relationship discussions and surreal sexual adventures. Haunted by recurring nightmares that he believes are indicative of a vast conspiracy, Ulysses is struggling to find his purpose in LA and obsessing over tracking down an elusive dating-app match with whom he shared a seemingly otherworldly hookup. He is grounded by his longtime friendship with Ford, a beefcake screenwriter who is dating Severine, a sexually voracious astrobiological theorist. Rounding out their squad is Carly, an aspiring actress and covert cam-girl whose relationship with her boyfriend finally sparks when they start to explore BDSM.
