While Akira’s friends are granted some cheat abilities in the process, he becomes a low-rank “assassin” but isquickly able to grind his way to the top.

The RPG elements are everywhere, including journeys with members of different classes,monster fightsand gorgeous locations, and some secrets that need to be unveiled. Akira suspects that there is something wrong with the king, and he will have to prove it before he is chased down and captured.
The ‘Assassin’ Is in Good Hands
The studio behindMy Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’sis Sunrise. Aside from bringing to life thelegendary anime seriesCowboy Bebop, the company is also responsible for other landmark anime series, includingGintama,Mobile Suit Gundam,City Hunter,InuYasha, and many, many others.
The main character, Akira, is voiced byTakeo Otsuka(who is also the voice of Jinshi inThe Apothecary Diaries). In an official statement, he shared his excitement about thenew anime seriesand teased the first few episodes (per Crunchyroll):
