It was announced today that a panel forStar Wars: Episode IXwill be held at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, which runs from April 11th through April 15th. Both directorJ.J. Abramsand producerKathleen Kennedywill be in attendance, and theofficial descriptionsays we can count on “plenty of surprises and special guests.”
So yeah, this is probably when/where the first teaser trailer forStar Wars 9will debut, or at the very least that’s when they’ll be revealing the film’s title. They’ve gotta showsomething, and the timing matches up so that if they do reveal the trailer at that time, it can play in theaters with Disney’sAvengers: Endgamejust two weeks later. If they do show the trailer at Star Wars Celebration, expect it to drop online at the same time. There’s no way they’d attempt to keep something this big in the room and risk a horrible-quality leak landing online as the first-ever footage from the conclusion to the entire Skywalker Saga.
