CBS All Access today announced the third season renewal of its hit original seriesStar Trek: Discovery. It was also announced thatMichelle Paradise(The Originals)will joinAlex Kurtzmanas co-showrunner of the show’s upcoming third season. In addition to his role as showrunner ofStar Trek: Discovery, Kurtzman will continue to oversee the expansion of the growingStar Trekuniverse for CBS Studios.

After answering a distress signal from the U.S.S. Enterprise, season two ofStar Trek: Discoveryfinds the crew of the U.S.S.
