Spider-Man: HomecomingstarTom Hollandis certainly having a fun time during production of the highly anticipatedSpider-Manreboot. Of course, who wouldn’t after going through a grueling, months-long audition process to not only lead a newSpider-Manmovie, but also join the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Holland has been active on social media since before he even landed the role, and while this past weekend hetook some time to poke funat his fellow MCU actor andIn the Heart of the Seaco-starChris Hemsworth, he’s now shared a new behind-the-scenes set photo that’s moody as all get-out.
Indeed, production began in July and is still underway in Atlanta, which has become Marvel’s new go-to location after the construction of the brand new Pinewood Atlanta studio down there—it’s where they shotCaptain America: Civil WarandGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and it’s where the year-long shoot forAvengers: Infinity Warand its untitled sequel will take place. And whileSpider-Mantakes place in New York City (Queens, to be exact), this set photo proves that the streets of Atlanta are doing a fine job of filling in for the Big Apple.

What do we know so far aboutSpider-Man: Homecoming? Well we know it’s a high school-set story with aJohn Hughesvibe, and we also know that Spidey gets mixed up with the villain Vulture, played byMichael Keaton. And of courseRobert Downey Jr.has a co-starring role as Iron Man, and last night we learned thathe’ll be bringingJon Favreau’s Happy Hogan with him. How do all of these pieces fit together? That’s for us to find out next summer when the film hits theaters.
For now, enjoy the moody set photo below. Directed byJon Watts,Spider-Man: Homecomingalso starsMarisa Tomei,Zendaya,Jacob Batalon,Tony Revolori,Martin Starr,Angourie Rice,Bokeem Woodbine,Hannibal Buress,Michael Chernus, andDonald Glover. The film opens in theaters on June 15, 2025.
