Look out, y’all: Collider is bringing you some mad scary scoops. First, it looks like our own Steve “Frosty” Wientraub has gottena nice little update on the long in development Friday the 13th movie. Here’s what we know: Friday the 13th will NOT be found footage. The script they are working from isAaron Guzikowski’s.Breck Eisneris directing. Casting will begin at the end of this year and they expect to shoot in Atlanta in spring of 2017. The movie will take place at Camp Crystal Lake and it will be a period piece. The producers have said the film will be a “hard R.”

Meanwhile,Steven Spielberg/Robert ZemeckisfavoriteDavid Koepprevealed that he has been tapped to write a draft ofThe Bride of Frankensteinfor Universal. While speaking to Frosty about his latest filmInferno, Koepp said that it is one of his favorite scripts he has written in years and the message behind the film addresses many issues while also reimagining the Frankenstein story.

ScreenCrush is reporting from two reliable sources that pending Legendary’s approval of Dougherty’s script, he will direct the film that will allegedly lead into theKing Kong/ Godzillacrossover film, allowing for a shared universe of giant monsters.
