It’s been less than a week sinceNicolas Cagedetailed thesecretive process of working on his upcomingSpider-Noirseries, and now the show has just taken a huge step forward. Amazon held its annual upfront presentation tonight, and swinging onto the announcement board wasSpider-Noir. Amazon officially unveiled thefirst image of Cage as the titular character in the series, and also confirmed thatSpider-Noirwill premiere on Prime Video in 2026. The show, which is based on the popularSpider-NoirMarvel Comicbook, will tell the story of an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator (Cage), who grapples with his past life as New York’s only superhero. The first image fromSpider-Noircan be found below, and Amazon has also announced thatthe series will stream in both black and white and in color.
In addition to Cage, the series will star Emmy-winnerLamorne Morris, best known for his role in the popular sitcomNew Girl.Brendan Gleeson, known for his roles in28 Days LaterandThe Banshees of Inisherin, will also star as the feature villain inSpider-Noir. Gleeson has teased thathis antagonist will be a “philosopher,“but few details are known about who he could be playing. Other names attached to star in recurring roles inSpider-NoirareAbraham Popoola,Li Jun Li,Karen Rodriguez, andJack Huston. Guest stars includeLukas Haas,Cameron Britton,Cary Christopher,Michael Korstroff,Scott MacArthur,Joe Massingill,Whitney Rice,Amanda Schull,Andrew Caldwell,Amy Aquino,Andrew Robinson, andKai Caster.Harry Bradbeerwill direct and executive produce the first two episodes, withSteve Lightfoot(The Punisher) andOren Uziel(22 Jump Street) co-showrunning the series together.

Nic Cage Will Return As Spider-Noir in Another Project
Nic Cage featured in a large role inSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Versebefore only appearing in the post-credits scene ofSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Cage’s Spider-Man Noir shows up at the end of the movie to help Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) look for Miles (Shameik Moore), along with the rest of their compatriots from the first film. It has already been confirmed that Cage will step back into a larger role in the third and finalSpider-Versefilm, which is coming to theaters on June 08, 2025.Spider-VersecreatorsPhil LordandChris Millerwill executive produce Spider-Noir. Thefirst footage fromBeyond the Spider-Versewas shown to attendees at CinemaCon in Las Vegas earlier this year.
