Netflixis in full summer swing, which means there are a whole lot of new movies and TV shows for you to watch this July! As usual, the streaming service has a hefty batch of original films and series, as well as some old favorites filling out their library titles. So whether you’re looking for a summer movie to watch at home, a new series to binge-watch over the weekend, or something you can watch with the whole family, there’s pretty much something for everyone in this month’s new-to-Netflix lineup.
In the realm of original movies, Netflix is unveiling a rather fascinating new approach to releasing a film trilogy withFear Street. The first film,Fear Street Part One: 1994arrives on Friday, July 2, followed by weekly sequel drops withFear Street Part Two: 1978on July 9 andFear Street Part Three: 1666on July 16. Directed byLeigh Janiakand inspired by the belovedR.L. Stinebooks, the trilogy unfolds an interweaving tale of terror set across multiple timelines and it’s a must-watch for horror fans. Other new Netflix Original standouts include the action movieGunpowder Milkshake, starringLena HeadeyandKaren Gillan, and if you’re looking for something lighter,Resort to Loveoffers a sun-soaked new rom-com produced byAlicia Keysand starringChristina Milian.

As for the original series in July, it’s jam-packed! Returning series includeNever Have I Ever,Outer Banks,Atypical,Virgin River, andI Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson. New debuts includeResident Evil: Infinite Darkness,The Cook of Castamar,My Unorthodox Life,Masters of the Universe: Revelation, and the truly wild-looking new dating showSexy Beasts.
