Universal Pictures recently confirmed thattickets forThe Odysseywill go on sale this weekend, a full year ahead of the film’s planned release. However, there’s a catch — the only tickets going on sale are for the 70 mm IMAX format. All other tickets will go on sale closer to release, like normal. This is likely nothing more than a marketing play to encourage fans to find a 70 mm IMAX theater to see the film. Nolan’sOdysseywill be the first film evershot entirely on IMAX cameras.
