A part of NECA’s popular seven-inch-scale “Ultimate” horror line, their latest Michael Myers figure is based onHalloween H20: 20 Years Later.The figure comes with two alternate heads, five alternate hands, a blood-stained kitchen knife, an axe, a killer ice skate, and a pumpkin with a knife stabbed into it. NECA has been working the last couple of years making figures for eachHalloweenfilm. They’ve already done the ‘78 original,Halloween II(including a Laurie Strode and Dr. Loomis two-pack),Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, and each film inDavid Gordon Green’s 2018 legacy trilogy. AfterHalloween II“killed” Michael Myers for good, the franchise tried to go in a different anthology direction with 1982’sHalloween III: Season of the Witch. Due to the lack of Michael Myers, this choice didn’t financially pan out. 1988’sHalloween 4: The Return of Michael Myerscontinued the popular babysitter killer storyline. However, while that film has its own rabid fanbase, it missed one key ingredient. That was Curtis.
The actress, who got her start inHalloween, made her comeback to the franchise in 1998’sHalloween H20.This particular entry was directed bySteve Miner(Friday the 13th Part II). The film revealed that Laurie faked her own death, changed her name, and is now the dean of a California private high school. She also has a son played byJosh Hartnett(The Faculty), while other notable upcoming-and-coming actors here includeMichelle Williams(Venom) andJoseph Gordon-Levitt(The Dark Knight Rises). While Laurie has stayed hidden for over a decade, her brother Michael finally finds her. This leads to the ultimate showdown that was supposed to act asCurtis’ last stand. However, this would end up being far from the truth.
