One of the stars fromLandmanSeason 1 has shared some input on where he thinks the show could be headed in Season 2.Jon Hammfeatures as Monty Miller inLandman, the latest series fromTaylor Sheridanthat’s streaming on Paramount+. The show follows Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton), a Landman working for Monty’s oil company. Monty passes away at the end of Season 1 due to a lengthy battle with heart problems, and although his character is not expected back in Season 2, his absence will play a large part in the second season. During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hamm revealed how he thinks his passing will affect Cami (Demi Moore) as she takes on more responsibility inLandmanSeason 2:
“I think she probably has a lot of thoughts going through her head right now, and a lot of them have to do with how this life really hurt her family. You’ll get a grudge from things like that, for sure; you’ll hold a real grudge. I think that’s probably going to be what happens for her, but I’m not the guy who writes this. I think she’s probably pretty pissed that her husband is gone and that her family is devastated.”
Monty’s passing is going to have an impact on more than just Cami inLandmangoing forward. Tommy will take over many of Monty’s duties in Season 2, andhe’ll be working more closely with Cami, who was largely absent from Season 1. Tommy will also have Gallino (Andy Garcia) to contend with in the future, and even though he saved his life in the Season 1 finale, there’s a looming feeling that this came at a price.Landmanwrapped up its first season earlier this year on January 12, and while it looked like the future of the show was in limbo in the weeks following its conclusion, it didn’t take Paramount long togrant it a second season.LandmanSeason 2 has alreadybegun production in Fort Worth, but it’s unknown as this time when it will be released.
