Tribeca Shortlist has released a video with one of its “Shortlisters”,Gary Oldman, where he discusses whySome Like It Hotis such a brilliant piece of cinema, and also touches on fun little questions like if he prefers popcorn or candy and his favorite guilty pleasure movie. He also reveals his favorite role and more.
For those who don’t know, “Tribeca Shortlistis an SVOD service featuring roughly 150 films curated by industry experts including actors, directors, producers, insiders and influencers who know and love movies. By taking a human approach, TSL hopes to help users escape the ‘search spiral’ that occurs within so many streaming services and discover a great film quickly.” Curating is key, and it sounds like Tribeca Shortlist has found a thoughtful approach to help whittle down the amount of choices people have when it comes to streaming.

The shortlisters, which in addition to Oldman also includesTom Hiddleston, Alec Baldwin, Craig Ferguson, Martha Stewart, John Leguizamo, Andrea Navedo, Tyler Perry, Brett Ratner, Morgan Spurlock, Matthew Modineand more “offer personalized recommendations about their favorite films broken down into themes and genres to help guide viewers to movies they will enjoy.”

The service is a joint venture between Lionsgate and Tribeca Enterprises and is available on Apple TV, Roku® players, Amazon Fire TV, iPhone, iPad, the Web and as a subscription to Amazon Prime members through Amazon Video.
Each month, a third of Tribeca Shortlist’s movies are switched out for new content, providing users with regularly updated viewing options. TSL is available now on streaming to web and mobile devices for $4.99.
