Last year, Netflix launched what ended up being a fairly polarizing reboot of the iconic family seriesFull HouseinFuller House, riding the waves of nostalgia that has brought us innumerable other reboots and restarts in the past few years (of wavering quality). Though Netflix doesn’t reveal its viewership numbers, it seems likeFuller HouseSeason 1 was a pretty solid hit for them, at least succeeding in capturing the zeitgeist before and just after its premiere. I didn’t care for it, mostly because I felt that it missed a huge opportunity to update the format of the series while still keeping the formula of love and laughter. Instead, crude jokes and humiliation-based storylines were a poor way to convey modernity in the series. But, plenty of people disagree!

Now, Netflix has finally revealed the premiere date for the return of the series, which will land on Friday, December 9th, as well as a new poster that plays up the heartwarming themes the show still is looking to capitalize on.
