With just under $125 million domestically and another $133 million from overseas markets,Bloodlineshas grosseda cumulative total of $257 million worldwide. The movie wasproduced on a reported budget of $50 millionand has comfortably outperformed every installment of the Scream franchise, which was also reintroduced to a new generation not that long ago. This weekend,Bloodlinesovertook the $240 million lifetime global haul of 2012’sResident Evil: Retribution, the fifth installment ofthe post-apocalyptic franchise, which holds a 28%Rotten Tomatoes score.

During the course of its run,Bloodlineshas also overtaken memorable horror movies such asGet Out($252 million),The Blair Witch Project($248 million),Smile($217 million),Bram Stoker’s Dracula($215 million), andThe Others($207 million). It’s also thehighest-grossing installment ofthe long-running Final Destination series, which has generated a total of over $900 million at the global box office. The series’ previous highest-grossing entry wasFinal Destination 5, which made nearly $190 million 14 years ago.
