Here at Collider, we cover a lot of stuff, be itStar Wars, superheroes, or cinephile fare, and everything from movies and TV, to video games and web series. There’s something for everyone. But there’s so much stuff out there that sometimes our younger audience members get left out. So every once in a while, we’d like to shine a spotlight on some family-friendly content that parents and caregivers can confidently watch with the little ones. (Sometimes, that news even sneaks into the regular rotation, like ourexclusive clipfrom a recent episode ofMuppet Babies.)
In today’sCollider Kidssegment, we’ll be introducing the first look at a new Disney animated comedy series meant for kids ages 2-7. Disney Junior has greenlitT.O.T.S.which tells about the hilarious adventures of best friends Pip and Freddy, a tenacious penguin and a kind-hearted flamingo, who are the only non-stork delivery birds in-training at Tiny Ones Transfer Service (T.O.T.S.). As new members of the esteemed team, these junior flyers must take tender care in transferring baby animals – kittens, cubs, calves, bunnies, puppies and joeys among them – from the nursery to their forever families around the globe. Together, they will learn how to nurture and care for the babies and use creative thinking and problem solving to model for young viewers that there isn’t just one way to achieve a goal.
The series was created byTravis Braun(Disney Junior’sVampirinaand Disney Channel’s upcoming seriesFast Layne), who also serves as co-executive producer.Joe D’Ambrosia, senior vice president, Original Programming, Disney Junior, said:
“Travis has created an imaginative and funny series that features all of the heart and relatable stories that Disney Junior is known for, while also encouraging young viewers to follow their high-flying dreams and recognize that, through teamwork and persistence, anything is possible.”
Joining Braun on the creative team isVic Cook(Disney Junior’sMickey Mouse Clubhouse) as executive producer and director;Chris Gilligan(Disney Junior’sGoldie & Bear) as co-executive producer and supervising director; andGuy Toubes(The Stinky & Dirty Show) as story editor.
