In addition to winning Best Picture at the 2013 Academy Awards,Argoalso boasts a“certified fresh”96% from critics onRotten Tomatoes, and 90% on the audience-driven Popcornmeter. The film grossed $232 million against a $44 million reported budget.
Argois, unfortunately,not streaming anywhere in the United States, but the film is available torent ($3.79) or purchase ($13.59) on Prime Video, both prices which are cheaper than any standard streaming subscription. In addition to starring in the film, Ben Affleck also directedArgowith a script fromChris Terrio. Affleck had made his directorial debut five years earlier onGone Baby Gonebefore following it up withThe Town. Welliver also stars in the latter film, which recently founda run of streaming success on Netflix. Affleck has only directed two movies in the 13 years sinceArgo— he first stepped behind the camera forLive By Night, and then he also returned to the world of directing in 2023 withAir. Affleck has also been tapped to direct and star inAnimals, an upcoming kidnapping thriller.

Titus Welliver will reprise his role as Harry Bosch inBallard, theBosch: Legacyspin-off series coming to Prime Video on Wednesday, July 9.The show followsMaggie Q’s Renee Ballard, who previously only appeared in one episode ofBosch: Legacy, which made her a controversial choice to lead a new spin-off show. It’s unclear if Welliver’s Harry Bosch will be a regular character inBallardin potential future seasons, but fans can take comfort in knowing that Bosch isn’t dead yet. However, according to creatorMichael Connelly,that can’t be ruled out in the future.
