The X-Men Are More Involved in the MCU Than Ever
Up until last year, the X-Men weren’t prominently featured in the MCU. However, the premiere ofDeadpool & Wolverineturned that on its head by bringing Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), arguably the most recognizable member of the X-Men, back to the big screen. Marvel also announced the cast forAvengers: Doomsdayearlier this year, and it confirmed that iconic Fox X-Men stars such asJames Marsden,Patrick Stewart,Ian McKellen, and more will also star in the film. It’s unclear ifDeadpool & WolverinestarsRyan Reynoldsand Hugh Jackman will have any role inAvengers: Doomsday, but after the critical and financial success ofDeadpool & Wolverine, it would not be a surprise to see them worked into the story.
X-Men ‘97: The Art and Making of the Animated Seriesis coming soon. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates and watch the first season ofX-Men ‘97onDisney+.
