WithAlita: Battle Angelopening in theaters this weekend, I recently got to sit down with directorRobert Rodriguez,Rosa Salazar, and producerJon Landauto talk about the film. During the interview, they talked about why you should seeAlitain 3D, what they changed due to early screenings, why they wanted to use practical sets,Alitacreator Yukito Kishiro’s reaction to the film, and a lot more.
Before getting to the interview, I’ve seenAlitathree times and absolutely loved it.James Cameron, Robert Rodriguez and Jon Landau have crafted something special and it’s one of those rare films that’s actually worth seeing in 3D. Trust me, the visual effects are insane, the action set pieces are easy to follow and well shot, and Rosa Salazar is fantastic as Alita. In addition, the world ofAlitais the type of place I wish I could visit, and I hope they’re able to make future installments.
