CBS’Supergirlis going all-in on the DC Comics villains in upcoming episodes, starting with “Truth, Justice and the American Way.” Supergirl herself (Melissa Benoist) is already dealing with her scheming supervillain uncle, but will be forced into battle against Master Jailer (Jeff Branson), a bounty hunter who’s tracking down the escaped Fort Rozz prisoners. But Kara’s day job is also made more complicated by the arrival of a second assistant, Siobhan Smythe (Italia Ricci)....

Based on pre-existing characters from NBC Sports and developed into an Apple TV+ comedy series byJason Sudeikis,Bill Lawrence,Joe Kelly, andBrendan Hunt, Season 2 of the highly acclaimedTed Lassois building on all of the warm, fuzzy feelings that it gave fans with its first season and is digging even deeper and getting a bit darker. The biographical history of the English Royal Family’s various members is packed with scandals, controversies, affairs, and emotional breakdowns, all of which make for richly entertaining television....

It’s sad how many amazinghorrorfilms aren’t appreciated when they premiere. In a modern state of cinema where there are new movies coming out constantly both in theaters and on streaming, it’s easy for some great movies to be forgotten in favor of the next “big thing.” Such was the case with 2017’sVeronicaand its 2023 prequel,Sister Death, which were both directed byPaco PlazaforNetflix.WhenVeronicafirst premiered, it took the horror world by storm; audiences were labeling it as “the scariest movie of all time,” online viewers stressing the anxiety-inducing scares of thissupernatural thrillerand how its inventive approach to fearmade it almost too unsettling to watch....

Several attempts have been made to adapt the video games into live-action before the 2021 film,Mortal Kombat, made it to the fore. Despite some warranted criticism, the show actually performed better than its predecessors, and ignited hopes for a sequel.Mortal Kombat 2is set to arrive in theaters in the fall, with a theatrical release date of October 24 already in place....

This week’sAbbott Elementaryepisode, also one of the most anticipated of the season, finally had theIt’s Always Sunnygang check in as volunteers to help out at the school. With that,Abbott’s staff and the new aids were paired off in a couple of hilarious ways; one notable pairing involvedIt’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Frank (Danny DeVito) andAbbott Elementary’s Mr. Johnson (William Stanford Davis). Although viewers couldn’t get enough of the weirdly humorous banter between the older duo, it appears that there was meant to be even more to their storyline inthe crossover episode....
